Underfloor Heating
We specialise in full underfloor heating installations, from design to pressure testing, using high-quality materials and precise workmanship to ensure long-term performance.

01
The Brief
We were recently commissioned to install underfloor heating throughout both the ground and first floors of a fully renovated property.

This installation was prompted by the client's decision to use an air source heat pump, which works most efficiently when paired with underfloor heating systems rather than conventional radiators.
Our scope of work included the full design and installation of the underfloor heating pipework, ensuring optimal layout and performance to complement the heat pump system.
02
Heating Efficiency
In this project, the system was installed throughout the first floor, second floor, and annex, ensuring the entire property benefits from a consistent, efficient heating solution tailored to modern low-temperature systems.

Materials & Fixings
-
Egg crate trays (18mm thick) were securely fixed to the subfloor.
-
16mm multilayer composite pipe was used for all circuits, laid at 150mm centres to ensure even heat spread and system responsiveness.

04
System Testing
All pipework was thoroughly pressure tested to 5 bar to confirm there were no leaks and that the system could safely hold pressure before screeding.

05

Next Phase Of Work
The underfloor heating system is now fully installed and pressure-tested. The next step is for screeders to apply the concrete layer, with a minimum coverage of 30mm—10mm above the pipework, in accordance with standard installation requirements.
